How the Ulkaa Edu Rank works

Overview

Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) is a private university established in 2003 under the Private University Act 1992 and owned by the US-Bangla Group. English is the language of instruction. Its permanent campus is at Purbachal American City, Rupganj, in Narayanganj District, on the eastern edge of the Dhaka region. It is one of the larger private universities in this tier, with 6,855 students recorded in 2023.

Ulkaa Edu Rank 2027 places GUB in the 51-75 band, with a national position of 62. The position is computed from the published methodology (version 2027.1), and indicator coverage is 65.5%. The inputs include a first-year intake of 1,317 in 2023.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027 list it as a reporter, which means it supplied data but has no rank yet. In the QS Asia University Rankings 2026 it is in the 1201-1300 band.

GUB opened in 2003 as a private university with the Chancellor being the President of Bangladesh, as for all universities of this kind. It later moved to a permanent campus in Purbachal. The university is a member of the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh and has partnerships with universities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, China and Malaysia.

Admission

GUB runs its own admission process for bachelor's and master's programmes, and the details differ by programme. The circular on the official website at green.edu.bd lists the programmes open, the eligibility rules and the application dates for each semester. Law and engineering applicants should confirm the minimum requirements for their chosen programme.
