Overview
Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) is a government engineering institute in Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka, run by the Bangladesh Armed Forces. It was founded in 1998 and teaches engineering, architecture and science to both military officers and civilian students.
MIST is not a university. It is an institute affiliated with Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), and its graduates receive BUP degree certificates. That is the same arrangement as a National University college, where the college teaches and the university awards the degree. Ulkaa therefore lists MIST under engineering institutes rather than universities, and it has no Ulkaa university rank.

Admission
